The Khairatabad Vishwashanti Mahashakti Ganapati idol is now open for devotees, following a grand Aagaman program held last night. The event featured fireworks, cultural dance, and devotional activities. Saifabad ACP Sanjay Kumar stated that 600 police personnel and 60 CCTV cameras have been deployed to ensure security at the Ganapati pandal.
A huge Ganesh idol will be installed in Khairatabad tomorrow for the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. In view of the event, Hyderabad police have imposed traffic restrictions in and around Khairatabad from tomorrow until Sept 6. Traffic congestion is likely near Khairatabad, Shadan College, Old PS Saifabad, and Necklace Rotary during the festivities.

At Tirumala temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, devotees are waiting in 4 compartments for darshan today. Sarvadarshan without tokens currently takes around 6 hours. On Sunday, August 24, 72,119 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara, and 25,294 offered tonsuring. The TTD reported a Hundi collection of ₹4.02 crore on the same day.
TTD brings good news for Tirumala Srivari devotees. Special entry darshan tickets for November, priced at ₹300, are now available online from 11 AM today. Devotees can book through the official website at ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in. Also, accommodation bookings for the same month will open today at 3 PM.
GHMC officials are organizing Ganesh idol immersions by setting up 74 pools across Hyderabad. These include special pools for small idols, pre-fabricated tread pools, and temporary pools to accommodate the large number of devotees. The annual Brahmotsavams at Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple, located in Yadagirigutta, Yadadri district, concluded on Tuesday night. The priests performed the Ashtotara Shata Ghatabhishekam and Srungara Dolotsavam at the Prakara Mandapam of the temple. Ashtottarakalasha worship was held at the Mahamukha Mandapam of the main temple.
