Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced on Sunday that his government plans to fill 1 lakh vacancies across various posts this year, aiming to enhance employment opportunities for the youth. Sharma highlighted the state government’s commitment to improving sports facilities to boost Rajasthan’s representation in the Olympics. He also criticized the previous Congress administration for allegedly delaying the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) and mishandling exam paper leak cases.
Sharma accused the former government of trying to mislead and stall the ERCP, which is crucial for addressing water scarcity and irrigation needs in eastern Rajasthan. In contrast, the BJP-led state government has taken decisive steps to advance the project and ensure its completion. Additionally, an SIT has been established to expedite investigations into paper leak incidents, with stringent measures being enforced against those involved. Addressing a meeting in Dungarpur (Rahuvas) of Dausa on Sunday, Sharma outlined these key initiatives as part of the revised budget announcements, emphasizing his administration’s proactive stance on tackling previous inefficiencies and enhancing public services.
