The Supreme Court stayed the Delhi High Court’s bail order for former UP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the 2017 Unnao rape case. CBI cited the 1997 LK Advani verdict, arguing MLAs are “public servants” under POCSO. Sengar has four weeks to respond as the case proceeds.
