India’s Chandrayaan-2 orbiter has detected signs of possible buried water ice near the Moon’s south pole. Scientists from ISRO say radar data suggests ice deposits in permanently shadowed regions, which could support future lunar missions by providing water for fuel and life support systems on the lunar surface exploration plans missions.
