The Indian Army is proud to be represented by four exceptional para-athletes at the upcoming Paralympics. These athletes have shown remarkable dedication and resilience. They include Subedar Soman Rana (shotput), Sub K Narayana (rowing), Nb Sub Hokato Sema (shotput), and Nb Sub Amir Ahmad Bhat (shooting).
Additionally, Simran Sharma, the wife of NK Gajender Singh, will compete in athletics, further showcasing India’s talent and determination. Following the Paris Olympics, the sporting excitement shifts to the Paris Paralympics, running from August 28 to September 8.
Satya Prakash Sangwan, Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), will serve as Chef de Mission for India’s largest-ever contingent of 84 para-athletes, who will compete in 12 sports disciplines. His leadership will be crucial in providing the necessary support and guidance for the team’s success on the global stage.
