The central govt is reviewing a proposal to make interstate vehicle transfers easier by removing the need for a No Objection Certificate from the original RTO. It comes from a high-level committee on regulatory reforms formed by NITI Aayog. If implemented, transfers could be processed through an automated system using data from the national vehicle registry.
