In Nashik, Maharashtra, a pan shop owner, Bapu Sonawane, allegedly killed Vishal Bhalerao over a one-rupee dispute. The altercation occurred when Bhalerao questioned the price of a cigarette. After Sonawane struck him with a wooden stick, Bhalerao was hospitalized but died later. Police have detained Sonawane, and an investigation is underway.
