Iran Denies US Claim Of Drone Attack On Tanker Off Gujarat Coast As “Completely Worthless”
Washington's allegations that a drone strike that targeted a ship off the coast of India was "fired from Iran" were dismissed on Monday by Iran's foreign ministry as "worthless." The attack on the chemical tanker owned by Japan occurred on Saturday, coinciding with a barrage of missile and drone assaults in the Red Sea by Yemen's Huthi rebels, who are supported by Iran, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel is engaged in combat with Hamas terrorists.
Washington’s allegations that a drone strike that targeted a ship off the coast of India was “fired from Iran” were dismissed on Monday by Iran’s foreign ministry as “worthless.” The attack on the chemical tanker owned by Japan occurred on Saturday, coinciding with a barrage of missile and drone assaults in the Red Sea by Yemen’s Huthi rebels, who are supported by Iran, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel is engaged in combat with Hamas terrorists. Later, the Pentagon publicly charged Tehran with carrying out the attack. When questioned about the US accusations, foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani declared, “We declare these claims as completely rejected and worthless,” he explained.
Over 20,400 individuals, largely women and children, have died as a result of Israeli air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip over the course of more than 11 weeks, according to the health ministry in the coastal territory controlled by Hamas. Approximately 250 individuals were kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists; according to Israel, 129 of them are still in Gaza. The Islamic Republic has praised the October 7 bombings as a “success” and denied any direct involvement; it is a financial and military supporter of Hamas. Major companies have decided to divert their cargo vessels around the southern tip of Africa, which is a significantly longer voyage with greater fuel costs, in response to recent attacks by Yemeni rebels on maritime vessels in the Red Sea. Iran has consistently refuted claims made by the US and Israel that Tehran was complicit in the Huthis’ actions, claiming the group was operating independently.
