Earlier, on January 8, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the regions impacted by rainwater stagnation in Puducherry and directed the officials to clear the sewage canal blockages. After that, the streets were cleaned and sewage canals were dug with the aid of machinery, including JCP.
Spraying medications helped stop the growth of unhygienic conditions. There, the Governor of Telangana Tamilisai attended the ‘District Women Empowerment Seminar’ on January 8 and urged women to start businesses, emphasizing that economic freedom for women leads to overall freedom.
The seminar was organized by a private organization at Punjai Puliampatti in Erode district. There, the governor addressed the gathering of the people. While addressing the people, she emphasized the fact that she attended the program, considering the importance of it for women.
She said that if women get economic freedom, they will get freedom in everything. She further urged the women to start businesses, be they small or big, and if the economy is in the hands of the women, then there will be a livelihood.
