CM Revanth Pays Tribute To ‘Chakali Ailamma’ On Her Death Anniversary
Chakali Ailamma (1895–1985) was a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement and a notable leader in the fight against the Nizam's rule in Hyderabad.
TG CM Revanth Reddy paid tribute to Chityala Ailamma, popularly called as’ Chakali Ailamma’, on her death anniversary on Monday, Sept 10.
The Chief Minister praised Chakali Ailamma’s courage in Telangana’s armed struggle as an inspiration for future generations. He said that Ailamma inspires several public struggles as a courageous great woman who defied the aristocracy in those days.

Born into a humble family in the Telangana region, she became a symbol of courage and resilience through her involvement in the socio-political struggles of her time.
Ailamma was deeply influenced by the social injustices and exploitation faced by her community under Nizam’s oppressive regime. She actively participated in the Telangana Rebellion, a peasant revolt against the feudal system imposed by the Nizam.
