Budget Session Of Telangana Assembly Begins With Governor’s Speech
In a piece of good news for the common people in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will declare the implementation of two additional poll guarantees.
The Budget Session of the Telangana Assembly has begun with the Telangana Governor’s speech at 11.30 am today, February 8. Following a joint presentation by Governor Dr. Tamilsai Soundararajan, the Assembly and Council commenced their deliberations.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to announce the implementation of two more poll pledges, which is wonderful news for the common people of Telangana. The poll guarantees are a gas cylinder for Rs 500 and free power for up to 200 units across Telangana.
Telanhgana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to present the state budget on Saturday, February 10. Meanwhile, the duration of the budget session of the Telangana assembly and council will be decided in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, which is scheduled to be held later today.
According to government sources, the issue of handing over control of Telangana’s projects to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) is likely to dominate the budget session. Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao is likely to join the budget session as the Leader of the Opposition.
