The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation declared that metro services will begin at 4 a.m. on all its lines to facilitate the public reaching Kartavya Path to witness the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
The metro services in Delhi will begin at 4 a.m. tomorrow, January 26, as the country gears up for the 75th Republic Day celebrations. In this regard, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation declared that metro services will begin at 4 a.m. on all its lines to facilitate the public reaching Kartavya Path to witness the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
According to the latest schedule, the train services will be available at a headway of 30 minutes until 6 a.m., and thereafter, a regular timetable will be followed for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, no flights will arrive or depart from Delhi Airport between 10:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. from January 19 to January 26, because of the celebrations.
Earlier, the DMRC announced that the security checks for passengers have been intensified by the Central Industrial Security Force across the Metro stations from January 19 until January 27, 2024. In addition to that, the Delhi Police prohibited the flying of paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in Delhi.
