Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Unveils Gopinathpur Nilgiri-Balasore Rail Line
Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Indian Railways has fulfilled the commitment of a new station building, a new passenger line, and a new MEMU service for the area.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has unveiled the Gopinathpur Nilgiri-Balasore passenger railway line. During the launching event, Vaishnaw also flagged off a newly introduced MEMU train service. He spoke at the flagging-off ceremony and said that a survey will be conducted for a new railway line between Nilagiri in Balasore district and Betnoti in Mayurbhanj district.
According to railway officials, at least three pairs of MEMU trains will run over this route daily. As per schedule, the regular run of the MEMU trains will commence today, and all MEMU trains will stop at Sutei Badagan station en route. Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Indian Railways has fulfilled the commitment of a new station building, a new passenger line, and a new MEMU service for the area.
After the launch event, Ashwini Vaishnaw laid the foundation stone for Subway at Betnoti station. Balasore MP and Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, and MLA Sukanta Kumar Naya were present at the occasion. Ashwini Vaisshnaw said some people had spread rumors that trains between Nilagiri and Balasore would be stopped after the 2024 Lok Sabha polls were over.
