Jamia Millia Islamia University Declares Half-Day Holiday For Pran Pratishtha Ceremony
Recently, the central government also ordered a half-day closure for all central government offices and institutions across the country on January 22, 2024.
The prestigious Jamia Millia Islamia University has declared a half-day holiday for the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Ceremony on Monday, January 22, 2024. Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the most reputed universities in India, and it is famous for its architecture. In fact, the university is ranked 26 by NIRF 2023 under the BTech category and three under the university category by NIRF 2023.
Along with Jamia Millia Islamia University and its affiliated colleges, Delhi University has also declared a half-day holiday until 2:30 pm on January 22 in view of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. According to the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony is likely to conclude by 1 PM on January 22.
Recently, the central government also ordered a half-day closure for all central government offices and institutions across the country on January 22. In addition to that, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Tripura, Odisha, and Gujarat have also declared a holiday on the same day.
Meanwhile, the public holiday is to allow all government employees to watch the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony on television or take part in religious events. As per the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, the Lord Ram idol was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya temple on Thursday.
