UIDAI Waives Aadhaar Biometric Update Fee For Children

UIDAI has announced a one-year waiver on charges for mandatory biometric updates in children’s Aadhaar. Children aged 5 to 17 can update their biometrics, iris, and photo for free starting October 1, 2025. As per Aadhaar rules, biometric updates are mandatory once at age five and again after the age of fifteen.
