The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revealed the cost of printing the currency notes we use every day. It costs Rs. 0.96 to produce a Rs. 10 note, Rs. 0.95 for a Rs. 20 note, Rs. 1.13 for a Rs. 50 note, Rs. 1.77 for a Rs. 100 note, and Rs. 2.37 for a Rs. 200 note. Interestingly, the cost of producing a Rs. 200 note is higher than that of a Rs. 500 note, which costs Rs. 2.29.
