Researchers at Bose Institute in Kolkata have developed a novel method to create hydrogels using five-amino-acid fragments from the SARS-CoV-1 virus. Advancement could enhance targeted drug delivery and reduce side effects. Team, led by Professor Anirban Bhunia, found that these gels can form at different temperatures, potentially revolutionizing tissue engineering, wound healing, and disease modeling.
