Banks & Fintechs To Get Direct Mobile Ownership Access

The Dept of Telecommunications has proposed a Mobile Number Validation platform. With this, banks and fintech companies will be able to verify the ownership of mobile numbers directly with telecom operators. This move is aimed at restricting the use of mobile numbers in fraudulent accounts, which are used to withdraw money after a cyber fraud has been committed.
