During the 2nd phase of the West Bengal Assembly polls, only 1,468 people previously excluded under SIR were allowed to vote today after securing approval from an appellate tribunal. A large share of these voters came from Kolkata. While the EC has not revealed pending applications, millions of votes, including over 27 lakh, were recorded in this phase.
