PadhAI is an AI tool developed by a group of IITians, who took it to the UPSC CSE 2024 exam on June 16 just after the exam and solved the entire paper within just seven minutes. The answers were also compared with broad AI models commercially available from big tech companies such as Open AI, Microsoft, and Google by using answer keys released by top coaching institutes.
The motive behind launching this app was to enable students to access high-quality personalized learning at a very inexpensive cost using modern GenAI. The vision of PadhAI is to democratize access to high-quality test prep education, making it affordable to students of every class of society. The app offers unique features that are essential for saving time and enabling faster and more accurate learning for UPSC.
The app’s CEO, Dr. Karttikeya Mangalam, holds a PhD in AI from UC Berkeley and emphasized that PadhAI is not only a helpful teacher but also the smartest aspirant. He highlighted that the app is beneficial to everyone, regardless of their primary method of preparation, and that it acts as a support system for students.
To mitigate challenges associated with AI models such as hallucinations, factually incorrect data, and more, PadhAI has developed its proprietary neuro-symbolic LLM technology. This technology helps to provide the most recent information, avoid biasing on outdated info, and also supplements its statements with proper references and citations.
PadhAI is currently focusing on the UPSC exam and is available for free on the Google Play Store. The app offers features such as book discussions, news summaries, question discussions, and doubt clarification, positioning it as a reliable companion for UPSC aspirants.
