China Develops AI That Acts As Surgeon’s Extra Hand

Researchers at Chinese University of Hong Kong developed an AI system that autonomously controls surgical robotic arms using only real-time endoscopic images—no extra sensors needed. Integrated into the Sentire Surgical System, it acts as a “third hand” for surgeons and proving successful in live animal tests.
