India’s Messaging App Arattai: A Local Alternative To WhatsApp

Arattai, a messaging app by Zoho from India, offers chats, calls, media sharing, stories, and business tools. Promoted by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, it supports the “Made in India” push. Unlike WhatsApp, only calls are end-to-end encrypted. The app aims to connect people simply and securely while backing the Swadeshi initiative.
