India approved a new plan for making its fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft. India is allowing private companies to join the project along with state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. It was cleared by Defense Minister Rajnath, will speed up the jet’s development by involvement of more players.
