India Re-strategizes Tuberculosis Program To Reduce Cases & Mortality

National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) has been re-strategized to reduce TB cases and mortality through targeted interventions, free services, private sector engagement, enhanced diagnostics, and support for vulnerable populations, as informed in the Lok Sabha on Friday. The WHO’s Global TB Report 2024 revealed that India accounted for 26% of global TB cases and deaths in 2023.
