NASA captured a satellite image of red-hot lava flowing from Iceland’s latest volcanic eruption, with smoke and gas rising from the event. The lava, photographed by OLI-2 on Landsat 9, has impacted major roads and is nearing the Blue Lagoon. This marks the seventh eruption in less than a year on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula, with activity stabilizing recently.
