At least 307 Asiatic lions died in Gujarat over the past two years, with 41 deaths from unnatural causes, including falls into wells, drowning, road accidents, train hits, and electrocution. The government spent ₹37.35 crore on prevention, setting up wildlife treatment centres, appointing vets, and introducing ambulance services for timely intervention.
