Team India’s star all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin set a new record on Thursday by taking two crucial wickets on the first day of the second Test against New Zealand. With this achievement, Ashwin became the leading wicket-taker in the World Test Championship (WTC), surpassing Australian bowler Nathan Lyon, who had taken 187 wickets. Ashwin now holds the record with 188 wickets.
