Indian captain Rohit Sharma has achieved a remarkable feat by scoring 1,001 runs in 27 matches across all three formats in the 2024 calendar year. In doing so, Rohit became the oldest captain to reach this milestone and the first player to score over a thousand runs in a calendar year while being 37 years and 144 days old. Overall, he ranks fifth on the list for most runs in a single year.
