Some fans were not pleased with RCB's choice to place hefty bids for Dayal and Joseph, questioning the team's tactics during the auction.

Australia captain Pat Cummins was not signed by RCB, despite their offer of more than INR 20 crore for the exceptional cricket talent; yet, they were able to sign Yash Dayal and Alazarri Joseph. Some supporters questioned the team’s strategies throughout the auction and expressed dissatisfaction with RCB’s decision to make high bids for Dayal and Joseph.
However, RCB coach Andy Flower has explained why, after signing Dayal and Joseph, the squad was so keen on them at the auction. Regarding Yash Dayal, we saw a hint of his skill last year, particularly with regard to swing and his capacity to take wickets with the new ball. Though we believe he has a lot of talent and expect great things from him, I am aware that he has wrestled with death on times,” he said on Jio Cinema. Flower also spoke on the team’s choice to sign Joseph following their failure to sign Cummins at the auction.
