An 18-person Indian women’s hockey team has been announced by Hockey India for the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers in Ranchi, India, next year. The competition is set to take place in Ranchi from January 13–19. With the goal of placing among the top three teams in the competition, the Indian women’s team will take the field in Ranchi.
This will guarantee the team’s Olympic qualification for Paris in 2024. Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and the United States are in Pool B with India. Pool A had Chile, Germany, Japan, and the Czech Republic.
On January 13, India will begin their campaign against the United States. On January 14, they will then battle New Zealand. India’s final Pool B match is scheduled for January 16 against Italy. For the Indian women’s hockey squad to realize their goal of competing in the Olympics in Paris, these qualifiers would be essential.
