Former wrestler Sangram Singh advised young sportspeople to focus on their careers and think for the country. This comes after Brij Bhushan Singh’s close aide, Sanjay Singh, became the new WFI president.
“People will mislead you, and after listening to them, you will want to become a politician, actor, entrepreneur, or socialist, but later we regret it after losing our careers,” Sangram said.
The Wrestling Federation of India elections were held on Thursday, December 21, following multiple postponements. Sanjay Singh’s panel received forty votes to the opposing panel’s seven, winning the WFI election.
