Defending champion Aravindh Chithambaram outwitted compatriot D. Gukesh with a textbook tactic in the sixth round of the Prague International Chess Festival Masters. The loss dropped reigning FIDE world champion Gukesh to 20th on live ratings. Since his December 2024 title, Gukesh has struggled, losing over 50 rating points, except at Tata Steel Masters 2025.
