The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season is expected to begin on March 28 and conclude with the May 31 final, after a planned schedule release was delayed due to pending assembly election dates in Assam, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The BCCI may split the fixtures into two phases to accommodate election‑related logistics before finalising the full calendar.
