BCCI Directs KKR To Release Mustafizur Rahman

The BCCI has asked Kolkata Knight Riders to release Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman ahead of IPL 2026 amid strained India-Bangladesh ties. KKR had bought him for ₹9.20 crore. BCCI allows a replacement if needed. The move follows concerns over recent violence in Bangladesh and India’s focus on minority safety, said BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
