Stokes Injured In Nets, Surgery Rules Him Out Until May

Ben Stokes, England’s Test captain, will be out until May 2026 after breaking his cheekbone in nets. He had surgery in February and misses Durham’s early season games. Stokes hasn’t played since a groin injury in January 2025 and may only play two matches before England’s Test series against New Zealand in June.
