Cricket Umpire Dies On Field In Uttar Pradesh

Veteran cricket umpire Manik Gupta died after a swarm of bees attacked players and officials during a match at Sapru Stadium in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. While trying to escape during a drinks break, he fell and was severely stung. A respected state panel umpire, Gupta had served Kanpur cricket for nearly 30 years.
