Lionel Messi was fined by MLS for grabbing NYCFC assistant Mehdi Ballouchy’s neck after Saturday’s game. The league ruled he violated its “Hands to the face/head/neck” policy. Messi assisted a stoppage-time equalizer in the 2-2 draw. Luis Suarez also received a similar fine for grabbing NYFC’s Birk Risa’s neck at half-time.
