World Chess Body Responds To Claims Of Ding Deliberately Losing To Gukesh

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has dismissed allegations from Russian Chess Federation chief Andrei Filatov that Ding Liren deliberately lost to D Gukesh in the 2024 World Chess Championship. Filatov called for an investigation into Ding’s blunder in Game 14. However, FIDE president Arkady Dvorkovich emphasized that mistakes are a part of sports, and Gukesh capitalized on the error.
