According to a report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already shortlisted around 20 probable players for the 2027 ODI World Cup squad. Selectors plan to monitor their performance closely during the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season to finalise the team, even though the tournament is still over a year away.
