Security has been tightened in all naxal-affected areas of Odisha ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2024. In this regard, security is beefed up in Odisha state, particularly in naxal-affected areas. The Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha, Arun Kumar Sarangi, highlighted that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic.
The DGP of Odisha, Arun Kumar Sarangi, stressed that all elaborate security arrangements have been made and a comprehensive plan comprising three layers of security has been implemented. The DGP also said that all arrangements have been made for the protection of VIPs, and a separate scheme is being implemented to effectively divert traffic.
According to sources, the traditional and official state dances will be performed for the upcoming Republic Day parade in Bhubaneswar on January 26. Many popular dancers, such as Sahi Jaat from Puri, tribal dance Rasarkeli Bo from Sambalpur, Baha Nrutya from Mayurbhanj, Jodi Sankha and Ranapa dance from Ganjam, and Dhemsa from Koraput, will be the special attractions for the Republic Day parade.
