Speaking about the caste base census, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asserted on Tuesday that PM Narendra Modi calls himself OBC and then gets confused. Continuing, he added that the caste-based census is important because if we want them to participate, we must first count them.
Rahul stated that this is a subject that concerns all Indians, not just one individual, when speaking to the media in Gumla, Jharkhand. Rahul Gandhi further stated that Prime Minister Modi claimed that the rich and the poor were the only two castes in India.
The congress leader stressed that 50% of the Indian population belongs to the OBC category, Dalit is 15%, and Adivasi is 8%. Because of this, caste censuses are important to conduct in the state. There are only 3 OBCs out of 90 IAS in Delhi. We will not find Dalits and tribals in the health and education systems, he added.
He further questioned, “You may have heard the names Adani, Tata, and Birla, but there is no name for any OBC. What kind of country would India be if it was filled with injustice?. Rahul Gandhi continued that the Congress government in Jharkhand is a tribal-friendly government and the BJP’s government is anti-tribal.
In addition, he asked the populace what the BJP government had done to the tribal people’s land, to which they all replied in an extremely unjust manner. He declared that ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is against the injustice occurring in the country before concluding his speech.
