Flood Threat Rises At Prakasam Barrage, Danger Alert Soon

Due to heavy rains, flood flow into the Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada is rising steadily, with 3,03,000 cusecs of water currently received. Authorities have lifted all 69 crest gates, releasing 2,97,000 cusecs downstream. As water levels rise, the first danger alert is expected soon, and residents in riverbed areas have been warned.
