Kumaraswamy’s Son Nikhil Loses Channapatna Bypoll

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, lost in Channapatna bypoll. He lost to to Congress’ CP Yogeshwara by a margin of 25,413 votes. This gave the ruling Congress something to cheer about after the deflating Maharashtra results. Actor-turned-politician Nikhil Kumaraswamy secured 87,229 votes, while Yogeshwara got 1,12,642 votes. Congress won all three bypolls in the state.
