The proposed airport project in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana has shifted focus from Garibpet to Dummugudem. Earlier, the Airport Authority of India had evaluated Garibpet but issued a negative report citing technical issues. Dummugudem has now been identified as a viable site, marking a new phase for the project aimed at improving connectivity.
