The Indian government will release ₹260 crore to Telangana Gram Panchayats as the first instalment for 2024–25, following local body elections and submission of Utilisation Certificates. Over the past decade, more than ₹11,000 crore has been allocated to strengthen rural governance. Remaining funds of around ₹2,500 crore will be released in phases.
