SC Questions EVM Capacity For Polling Stations With Over 1,500 Voters

The Supreme Court on Monday raised concerns about the efficiency of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at polling stations with more than 1,500 voters. The Court asked the Election Commission to explain how EVMs can manage high voter turnout efficiently, given their limit of 1,500 votes. The matter is set for further hearing in January 2025, after the commission files a detailed affidavit.
