US Govt Shutdown Costs Economy $7 Billion, Warns CBO

The ongoing US govt shutdown, which began on October 1, has severely impacted the country’s economy. As per the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the shutdown has already cost around $7 billion (Rs. 58,000 crore). The CBO has warned that if the shutdown continues, the economic losses could escalate further, threatening growth and public services.
