MK Stalin Demands Withdrawal Of Advocates Amendment Bill

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin demanded the complete withdrawal of the Advocates Amendment Bill 2025. He called it a direct assault on the autonomy of the legal profession. Accusing the BJP government of systematically undermining the independence of the judiciary since 2014, he also pointed out that the bill wants to rename the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry as “Bar Council of Madras.”
