Delhi Police Reviewed Security Arrangements Ahead Of Republic Day
For the first time in India's history, the Border Security Force's (BSF) all-women marching and brass band contingents will join this year's Republic Day parade.
The Delhi police have reviewed all security arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2024. In this regard, Delhi Eastern Range’s Additional CP Sagar Singh Kalsi reviewed all necessary security arrangements in many parts of Shahdara District on late Saturday, ahead of Republic Day. Sagar Singh was also accompanied by senior police officers during his inspection.
Earlier on Friday, the Delhi Police prohibited the flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms, including paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), in Delhi. However, the prohibition has been implemented for 29 days, from January 18 to February 15, 2024, unless withdrawn earlier.
According to the PMO, French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest for the upcoming 75th Republic Day. In fact, this will be the sixth occasion when a French leader will be the chief guest at Republic Day celebrations.

An Assistant Commandant rank woman officer and two subordinate officers from BSF will lead a total of 144 women BSF constables marching down Kartavya Path.
