Mere Harassment Not Enough For Abetment Of Suicide : Supreme Court

The Supreme Court ruled that mere harassment isn’t enough to convict someone for abetting suicide. For a conviction under Section 306 of the IPC, there must be clear evidence of intent to incite or contribute to the act. The court discharged the accused under this section but upheld charges of cruelty under Section 498-A, allowing the trial to continue.
